New York City: In a study, The Politest City in the World
Some study. Why would people bomb it?
The study considered how much people pick up trash, how often locals open doors for visitors, and I'm really not sure what else.beachguy in thongs Reviewed by beachguy in thongs on . Yeah, everyone thinks it's a mean place to be and non new yorkers ask me if I've ever been mugged on the streets before..
Nicest place ever.
Ask for directions and you'll get more than enough info and maybe even a fuckin' cookie.

I think any city I'm in is the nicest city
Be mild with the mild, shrewd with the crafty, confiding to the honest, rough to the ruffian, and a thunderbolt to the liar. But in all this, never be unmindful of your own dignity.

I like NYC and have always been treated beautifully there. I love the place, in fact. I sometimes get a little razzing over my Texas accent, but that's always very good-natured ribbing. My experience has been that it's a very polite city.
