ok here goes......
theres a method that involves waking yourself from a dream state and realizing you are dreaming. the knowing you are dreaming or in astral form is key and without it you arent truly astral travelling. and no pot doesnt help in the least.
this method is a form of self hypnosis combined with a dream hook to help you
every night before you go to bed look at your hands and tell yourself that if you look at your hands in your dream then you will know you are dreaming
once you know you are dreaming you will have a spontaneous awakening and then be astral and be able to controll it
this method takes about 2 or 3 months of telling yourself every night
it will program you to do it
I am sure you can program yourself to do it every single night also
maybe change the words to something like " if I look at my hands in my dream I will realize I am dreaming and once I do realize I am dreaming I can do that in every dream from then on out"
but yeah do this EVERY night and be positive about it
be persistent and you WILL succeed
