well...after what happened to the 2 ARMY guys I won't even try surrendering.

    thanks for the responses...
Jamstigater you are right about the fact that the US cannot withdraw early as that would definately leave us much worse than we began...
Alot of you are right. One one hand, i tend to feel like "atleast SOMETHING is being done to help these people after all these years".
But then on the other hand, your absolutley right about the amounts of money the US is spending on this and so we ask ourselves... " Is this going to produce positive results? and how much longer will mankind watch war on theyre televisions?"
    Peace to all.

Draft dodging is a personal choice. IF a child of a bleeding heart wants to serve their country...there's nothing a doting parent can do about it.

Canadians, as a whole, are not tolerant people. Collectively, they're about as self-rightous as a nation gets. Maybe only the French are better at thumbing their noses at the rest of the globe.

There's no troop I ever served with that gave a rats arse about the Commandeer in Chief anywhere near as much as their battle buddies. Soldiers fight for neighbors...not administrations.

Should a draft here in the states ne enacted...prior service members that do not have a disabilty will be listed first...they've already been trained. That training would be utilized asap.

Iran does not need a draft for sake of they have the ever growing numbers of their Basij volunteers. They are unarmed peoples that through sheer numbers, overwhelm an enemy. They keep coming and coming and coming.

War is ugly folks. The world is even uglier. Not many people are gung-ho to die in battle. But somewhere alog the lines, when a person has overcome their fears and anxiety...they soon realize...death is invitable anyway.

Now lets talk about the women of the American Revolution, or the Civil War. They fought. They picked up weapons when their boy or husband fell and they proceeded to kick ass. And though women were never included in combat during WWII...women here in the states busted their ass to make sure troops had one helluva a logistics support system to make sure those fighting men had things they needed.

Tyring to hold back an adult man ready to do a rather critical duty is a thing a parent ought be ashamed of. Leave this country if you can't do your part to support it in an abstract or tangible fashion.

btw...if this 3rdeye person works...he pays taxes too, and has every right, in my opinion, to speak his peace.
