I know ive asked this before but as a cheaper alternative just in case I cant spend the money in the setup listed above .... Would this set up be ok? I can build it pretty cheap and buy the light it has seperatly. https://secure.irie.tc/stealthhydro/...Prod=22&xSec=2

If I would be waisting my time with the cheaper setup please tell me. I have read alot of good comments on it and it seems to work with the space in the closet I have. I can probably build a box to put it in if neccasary so that I can add the correct fans, exhaust, and carbon scrubber. If all else fails it will at least teach me the bascis so that I can build my own high quality grow area in the future.
That has to be the easist system to build. You can build that 400$ system for 80 bucks! lol

People here can tell ya how to build great things. Just ask. If your typing on a keyboard then you can build that bubbler.

    Im super high

So is the setup White Snoop recommended? It seems pretty easy to use for a novice and it is cheap.

keep in mind what makes it expensive. The actual grow system is cheap. The light/hood/ventilation for a small space are almost guaranteed to be necessary. You were worried about smell, so the carbon filter/fan are expensive. The system, regardless of what you use, is usually minimal cost.

Is a expensive carbon fan necessary or would a decent one work?

Can you explain to me how to build that for $80? I was looking around for a light set up that has a 400w HPS system and they usually go for $120 and up. I can see the plastic bin but im not sure what size it is? If someone could detail this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

On a side note I saw this http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=13327 . It looks really easy to make but doesnt saw what kind of lighting you would need for one of those plants. Im just looking to grow enough tomatoes for personal use which would be 4oz or so a month. THanks in advance.
