aw come on now....a real pilot woulda slipped the plane (opposite rudder and aileron) and scrubbed off enough speed and lift to land in an overshoot situation. ever hear of spoilers??? setting up your spoilers, flaps and ailerons into a CROW setting to "dirty" up the aerodynamics? efficient gliders would pick up too much speed in a nose down dive to allow for a controlled landing that would be 250' short of the target.
scooterjay Reviewed by scooterjay on . Flying High....Literally! One sunny Saturday afternoon I decided to take a friend of mine, Shane, up gliding for the afternoon. He agreed so off we went. We arrived at the pavement stip (which was the local 'airport') We hopped in the glider the tow plane took us up to about 3500 ft. Were just flyin around then Shane pulls out a joint and said in a semi-persuisive tone, "Want some?" I said "No" cause I was flying. But eventually the smoke filled up the cabin and we were both blazin at 3000ft...in a glider! I Rating: 5
