Moving along...
I for one am tired of all the conspiracy stuff lately...new topic. What the hell are you all doing to pass the time during the summer? I live pretty close to the DFW airport, so I tend to go over to that outlet mall at Grapevine (Grapevine Mills?). They have a nice arcade with alot of the interactive games...very fun.
When the airport is landing planes on the south runaways, I also like to kill time at the observation point at DFW. If you go to DFW, follow the signs for the Admin building. You'll actually go past the admin building and come to a street (Corbon or Cobon...something like that), make a left and the observation park is on your right. It's not a smoke friendly place...lots of families, kids....besides, it's the airport....lots of SECURITY!!! But after you smoke or if you just want to relax a little, it's a great place to hang, especially at night when the runaways are lit up. If you decide to go, the best places to park are the spots next to the handicap spots. Less likely some big ol klunker will drive in and block your view...
Outside of that, I'm not sure what else to get into. There's a little spot in Dallas called Sankofas that has open-mic nights on Saturdays. If you're not afraid to venture to the hood, it's a guaranteed great evening. I've been out to the open market in Arlington (I forget the name of it). Reminds me of the flea markets in New Jersey. But man, it's too hot in the summer to be roaming around out there. I'm also going to try to get out to Six Flags and I'm waiting for the state fair.
So what else could I find to do in the area?Big Calhoun Reviewed by Big Calhoun on . Moving along... I for one am tired of all the conspiracy stuff lately...new topic. me and my wife like to go to traders village in grand prarie sometimes on the weekends.we like to hit the fleamarkets and the headshops.makes for a day spinning an burnin' in the dallas area.I've heard of that spot at dfw to sit andwatch the planes land around ya;but also go high and go without weed so you'll stay outta trouble.does anyone go to the dfw norml meetings? we went to one a few months ago and it was pretty cool.only about 10-12 folks showed up.but maybe if someone from here would go,I'd show up again.see ya in the funny paper's,'Buz

i live in grapevine next to the mills mall so next time you go, let me know. there's a number of activities near lake grapevine - i saw a paintball field on the east side near the cowboys golf course. if you're into pc gaming, the cyberathlete professional league will have their summer event championships at the plush gaylord texan on july 5-9.

Hang out at the flying saucer on mondays. almost all their pints(around 100 different kinds of beer) are 2.50, no matter how much they regularly are, and it isn't loud on monday.
There are lots of disc golf courses in the dfw area, and they're all pretty smoker friendly, people smoke openly at most that I've been to. Disc golf is really laid back, but you also get to walk around and can get some exercise.
I've been hitting up small ethnic and/or hole in the wall restaurants here and there just for something different. There are so many in the dfw area. Anything from romanian to ethiopian food.
But school and work still get most of my time these days. I've been so incredibly busy it's not funny, but things are starting to even out so I'll be able to go out more often.

Where are the disk golf places you are talking about, that sounds fun. I live in Denton and it gets kinda boring up here. Luckly my housing community has a pater park so Its fun to hang out there. Mall in my opinion pretty much suck. Its like dallas' cultural center. I moved from San Diego a few years ago and still trying to get established here. Dose anyone know of any other smoker friendly places?

Paintball I have to get back into. I have a Tippman A-5 but haven't played since moving to Texas. I actually let my wife use it now for 'protection' when I'm away on business trips...never mind the fact there's three pistols in the house. But she doesn't like "those things".

i took the kids to founders plaza at dfw airport the other night. this is the runaway spot that big c mentioned in this thread. pretty cool spot to meet and greet esp during the early evening.
i'm not sure what to expect with the gaming convention happening at the gaylord texan starting today. the event is now called intel summer championships and organized by world series of video games (wsvg) circuit.
i'm off work the rest of the week. :rasta:
peace.
