FUCKING MICE
You've already got yourself the best and safest mouse deterrent there is in that kitty cat. She can't help herself from killing them and bringing them to you. She's just doing what comes naturally and providing for her master. I always try to praise our cats when they do that, despite the fact that it's the grossest thing in the world to see them come trotting up with dead mice in their mouths or to find that they've left half-eaten mouse body parts lying somewhere where people walk. The praise doesn't encourage them to hunt more; they're just naturally skilled predators who have a ferocious hunting instinct no matter what.
Mouse and rat poisons are dangerous for the environment and your cat, who could easily eat a poisoned mouse and get sick or die herself. Try getting some mouse traps if you have a general idea where they're getting in--or one of those mouse boxes that they go into and can't get out of. Talk to the people at the nearest hardware store about non-poisoning options for trapping or getting rid of mice. And consider yourself lucky because if your cat brings an occasional mouse around, it means she's serving as a strong deterrent for a far greater percentage of rodents who don't come around because she's on patrol.birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on .
