I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN GROW

Im using 400 watt metal halide for vegitative growth.
and then later I will use high pressure sodium 400 watt for
flowering.

with those 2 75 w is 150w total so in an 1.7' x 1.7' area would be 50 watts per square ft wich is want you want for hps...

so get a measuring tape and outline that area and picture plants being in there and how many you think it could handle..

do you plan on using femenized beans or regular ones? I would only grow out 2 plants at most, but thats if i had clones that i knew were female...if your just starting with seed you would want to have 4 sprouted in that area, and before it starts getting too overcrowded they show sex and pull out the males and hopefully end up with 2 females to finish out.

you dont want to just start 2 seeds, what if they both turn out male? that would suck..even if you plant 4 seeds you could get 1 male, 3 females, or 1 female and 3 males, etc...you just never know

technically you could have 9 plants in that area if you did a SOG, but you need to already have clones becasue there would be no room to deal with males.

research whatever strain you pick good so you will know around what height to flower it at so it fills up the space nicely and doesnt get too overcrowded...

if you had 2 healthy femal plants in the end, and everything goes well with a good yeilding strain you should get around 20grams dried bud of each plant for your first grow...but that doesnt mean add another plant and its another 20 grams, you have to make sure everything is balanced out.

im not sure what the ionic thing will do as far as heat, i mean i think it puts off a little breaze, may help with the smell a little bit...have the fan blowing right under the light so it blows the radiant heat away while blowing air to the plants.

i cant tell you how many fans you need...just dont let the tempss go over 85 or humidity over 55%...so however many fans you need to keep it at that is what you need to do, heat stress can obviously kill plants, but it slows growth and decreases overall yield, imagine if you were the plants under there how you would like it

and dont forget not to overwater, that is one of the number one mistake for first time growers in soil, or overferting, but im sure you have researched your soil method. peace

I use a 4 tube 5 foot floro for seedlings and vegging.
I use a 400 watt MH for my mothers.
And 1 or 2 HPS lights for flowering.

el, i always plan for planting three times the amount i'm looking for in my outdoor grows and twice as many as i'll need for indoor. this allows for males, plants turned into meals by the pests and those that 'fail to thrive'...and even then i often come up short and have to rely on clones to cover the space. and with you being a beginner and all, i'd plant 10 and hope for 3 nice keeper-ladies...

i'm also a beginner and i would use the search engine but its not working for me (anybody else having this problem??) I just wanted to know whats a good soil to use from beginning to end?? I'll add perlite of course unless the soil u suggests already contains it. Also should i only use ph balanced water or is using faucet water ok?? Finally, if i must use ph balanced water, how do i go about doing that and what is the cheapest ph tester?? Sorry for all the questions but yeah....Thanks!!!!
