Yeilding more

My local grow shop owner is telling me i'm best off with loads of small plants. I have done a grow the way that he is telling me and i got about an ounce a plant, 28 plants under 2X 1000 watt hps's but on the net everyone is talking about growing less plants but yeilding more.

What am i best doing??

How many big plants can i get under 2X 1000 watt hps's and what will i yeild?

If you flower at 12 inches or so you can put more plants under the light!Thus good yeild, due to having the room ,and not letting it grow to later get out of hand.Plus,you will have more light on each plant! Surely that is a greater yeild!

How much will I yield? The answer is still 6.

Personally I would rather take care of a few bigger plants than many smaller ones. The yield per plant is of course up to you. You can have one plant fill an entire basement, or you can 100 fill the basement. The yield would be similar I think.
