depression and cannabis?

im sorry if this has been posted before. i believe i have depression, it hasnt been diagnosed by a doctor or anything but its pretty obvious. cannabis helps my depression ten fold and i was thinking if i could get this backed up by a doctor maybe i could get a growing liscence or whatever theyre called

Smoking a joint and thinking of jumping life sucks i'm ready to go
Below me the crowd slowly gathers around
cop cars and news camera's too
I just cant get out of this pain i'm in and
I dont know what else to do

They tell me depression runs in the family
Well that doesnt help me much
Sometimes i feel like i'm so uninvited
Like something so out of touch

So i'm just gonna break every bone in you body and
Give you another chance"

Waking up slowly i look all around me
alone in the recovery room
But closing my eyes
i can see the new sunrise
Over acres of flowers in bloom
I dont know when it will be
But the next time you see me
I'll be tapping to a whole new beat
Walking souls into
The holes in my shoes
Down the sunnyside of the street
