uh, im confused...you guy are saying this would never happen in america..but it does..Police have routine little gatherings where they hand out Toys and stuff to people that bring in Old guns.

You act like this is a invasion of our privacy..yet..its a total voluntary thing..

Police depts do those voluntary turn-ins sometimes in urban places, but I think Bong and I were more referring to the unlikelihood that Americans would ever tolerate changes to their fourth amendment rights to bear arms in general.
