They have a HUGE Kingdom Hall in downtown Brooklyn, possibly their world headquarters, which is visible from many vantage points, and I read that they locked the doors on 9/11/01, as people were coming across the bridge from Manhattan, and refused to help, give out water, etc. This was NOT in the spirit of most of NYC on that day.

My mother, back in the early 1960's, was making something in the kitchen, and was using a large knife. The doorbell rang, and she just opened it, still holding the knife. When they (Witnesses) saw this, they ran away! :dance:

Jehovah's Witnesses I was in work the other day and this little old lady came in and started talking to me at the counter about how there's gonna be this convention and this leaflet she gave me was a personal invite. I said thanks, but I didn't really believe in that kind of thing. I told her I'd pass the leaflet on to anyone who was interested. Okay, so I was planning on putting it in the bin, but it amounts to the same thing, as I knew no-one would care. She started asking me all these questions like, Rating: 5
