GK:Such thing as too much hydroguard???
i keep temps right but seems like maybe where I live (desert) likes fungus and stuff if i ever let the temp or humididty go up at all. Even after a huge scrub down of my rooms i get the fungus among us. I know more about fungus then cannabis !!
*afterthought*hmm maybe should grow shrooms....dont think its safe doing them that often though...not enough customers either..probably just end up with a room full of dried and frozen shrooms!

you have algea where? Of course you need to clean that shitup everyweek bro, you shouldnt even have it in the first place..
there is a light leek in the res, algea cant survive without light...why do you think you had root rot last time? lol it was prob in the same setup...you said when the humidty goes up it happens? why are you letting it go up? get a dehumidifier and do what ever you have to do to keep temps, and fresh air circulation in check.
if your res temps are not in check, the grow room temps are not in check and you have light leaks to your res all the hydroguard in the world isnt going to save you.
posting pics of your setup would also help alot
peace

GK:Such thing as too much hydroguard???
1st no its not in the res on top of the trays....which i clean constantly
2nd i live in a VERY dry climate the humidity in the room does not get above 30% ever
3rd grow room temp is 80-90 degrees (using 1500ppm co2)
4th i clean the entire system weekly (which is a pain in the ass the res is the easy part) and the entire room between grows.
My question was not how to control algea but whether algea was bad. my other question was can I used TOO MUCH hydroguard
and my third question was do i HAVE to use epsom salt if i am on 3 part gh
so please stick to the question. dont assume i dont know proper humidity lvls or that algea requires sunlight for photosynth...i am plenty aware...thank you

GK:Such thing as too much hydroguard???
dont assume you dont know proper humidity levels?? and you let it stay under 30% throughout the whole grow?? hmmmmm what am i too think?
your not even telling what kind of system you have..first you ask if you have to clean your system everyweek becasue your too lazy, now your saying that you do clean the system weakly? your making no sense...
why would you want to use more than the suggested amounf of hydroguard? would be a waste seems to me, im sure no idiot has tested it out and dumped a whole bottle in there, but you should try it an let us know how it goes. And YES of course you could use too much, lol
you ask "will this make fungus grow"....then you say you know more about fungus than cannabis?? so either that prooves you dont know shit about cannabis or again making no sense
sorry for trying to help you out, kinda hard when you dont post more info...
as long as your res is light proof, and the res temps are staying under 70f and room temps are in check, you will not need to worry about root rot. 80-90 is good assuming you are using the co2 properly.
you DONT have to use epson salt...it doesnt matter what nutes, it depends if your using tap water or RO...with ro you might want to ad some epson/cal-mag.
thats why you need to post more info if you want real answers...instead of saying "stick to the question"...maybe you need to go do a little more research

Alga is bad. Is that what you are trying to ask?
My question is why it's there and how sure are you that it's alga?
You would like some help correcting your problem or are you just making a statement? I don't want to assume anything at this point.
I'm a little confused and don't want to insult anyone.
