Tickets usually go for $9 a piece. I won't go to movie theaters unless it's really good.Happiness only real when shared

movie theater pricesI used to work at a theater. Prices are way high... $7.50 for an adult ticket. Kids are $5.

The only reason concession prices are so high is because the theater does not make money off ticket sales, that all goes to the movie companies, etc. Theater has to make money somehow.. that's why a large bag of popcorn is $5.45, even though it costs less than a dollar to make.

movie theater pricesI refuse to pay what first-run theaters charge for drinks and snacks. We always take bottled drinks with us, which I just discreetly tuck into my big purse, and we take sesame sticks, which I like better than popcorn anyway, in a Ziploc bag. Haven't been busted yet! movie theater pricesThe dollar theaters up here tend to be pretty nasty. By that, I mean dirty. No one cleans them up enough. There's always a layer of sticky goo on the floor and gum on the seats. And they still have the old, flat theater seating instead of stadium seating, so if you get behind someone tall, you're hosed. If it's a good enough movie, I'll pay to see it in a decent theater. movie theater pricesi usually spend 18 on tickets and bring food from home. It used to be easier to just sneak in but they have guards all over the place now.
