    Side Pains.

You know when you're running around a track or down the street or w/e it may be, and you get that side pain? Multiply that x10 at least. I get this usually when im trying to sleep or jsut waking up. I'll have a dream some serial killer just stabbed me in my kidney and i wake up screaming, but nothings there excpet the pain. It hurts so bad i cant breathe sometimes, and then the panic attack starts! Not exactly a great alarm clock.

Any idea WTF my body is doing to me? I'd go to the doctor but i dont have any health insurance right now, but that will be fixed soon, just wondering if anyone knows whats goin on.

Well, you may have Gall or Kidney stones. Do you drink alot of milk and/or stay de-hydrated for long periods of time? This may be the cause, and aside from child birth, and being crushed by a tank, its possibly the most painful thing you can endure. Alot of people pass out from the pain.

You can sometimes piss them out, but if their too big you cant. They are probably travelling down out from the kidney into the tubes.

I'd go to the doctor NOW, and get it sorted, fuck health insurance, you NEED to get it checked out.

    Im serious.

That doesn't sound pleasant at all, Smatchimo. I'm glad you're about to get health coverage so you can go see about yourself. Wish you would go on in beforehand.

Let me ask you a few questions from the bible of paramedicine, Brady Emergency Care. Does it feel very similar--only a whole lot more severe--to one of those "stitches" in your side when you're running or doing aerobic exertion? Or is the pain slightly different? If it is different, how does it differ?

Does moving or changing positions ease the pain or change its nature? Normally with one of those running pains, stopping the exertion, raising your arms over your head to stretch out the chest walls and abdominal oblique muscles, and taking some deep breaths will make the pain go away. Does anything like that make a difference with these pains?

Which side is the pain on?

Where's the pain centered? Is it centered in the area of your kidney sort of in the upper portion of your lower back and around to the side? Or is it someplace else.

Does the pain go away completely sometimes and then come back again, or do you always have some version of it?

It's impossible to diagnose severe pain remotely, which is why it's important for you to get to a doctor. Be prepared for them to ask you similar questions to these. My guesses would be perhaps a kidney stone, some sort of intestinal problem or possibly appendicitis, a spasming muscle, or a back/nerve problem.

    Side Pains.

My Sister said people used to come into the hospital, all the time, thinking that they were having a heart-attack, when it was only gas.

    Just thought I'd share.

thnx for the replys. that is something i didnt mention. what is really weird is that when i do happen to be drinking water, is usually when it happens. i mean not at at that moment but say i had a bottle of water the day before and a few glasses the next day, that night is when itd hurt. now that just maybe a coincidence but i dunno.

the pain is usually on the right side, but more torwards the stomach.prob about 7 inches away from the belly button and down a few. moving does intesnsify the pain pretty well.

I have also heard about gas giving some kind of problems, but ive never had any type of problems with it at all. maybe the occasional acid refulx after eating a piece of pizza and then trying to go to sleep would be about the biggest issue i have with that.

im scared that its my appendix. but it will show up maybe 1 a month in a rare case, mostly 1 time for every three months or so.

When I was younger, I had gas pains in my waist that I had to take medicine for.
