The only camping there is, is pitchin' a tent.. no running water or electricity. No cell phones, no portable TVs... nothing from the civilized world.. except for a CD player/radio. People who say they're going 'camping' who drive around in their RVs... screw them, that's not REAL camping bitches.

All you need is sleeping supplies, food, WEED (or any other forms of drugs), alcohol... and that's about it.

Yah, I'd put more emphasis on those "other drugs" too. Can't live without 'em!

That's cool. Is it just camping or is it a festival too? And I dunno about the "mother of all" since Bonnaroo is going on, and that's some 100,000 campers.

bonaroo doesn't last for 6 weeks tho...

it's a place where a town is setup for a couple months with emphesis on leaving babylon behind...even cash is frowned on, not to mention alcohol. music is a 24 hour thing with drum circles going on late at night (it's best to camp far away from the drum circles...duh) and different clans from different regions set up camps with individual motifs, even a large 'kiddy kamp' for kids and their parents to be in a more controled environment more suited to the under 14 crowd...and there are many! there's a-camp for those that must bring alcohol along with a couple dozen kitchens serving all kinds of food, teas and coffee...even a few ovens made from the local earth that make killer pizza's, breads and rolls! they tap a spring and run it thru filters to supply the 'town' with fresh water, dig trenches for shitters (w/lime too!) and organize the area so it's as easy to get around as possible...iow, it's a well planned tent-city with good food, music and good people...and it's all free!

Man, that would be heaven if I could manage to escape my life for 6 whole weeks! That sounds pretty sweet with everything being free. Lol, and yah, those drum circles get old even before they start up.

and ya don't have to spend 6 weeks there...only the die-hard, hard-core rainbows do that (and most live in the woods, off the grid, full-time anyway, LOL)...just visit for a few days. come and go as ya please...just park your vehicle accordingly so you can get out...the parking lot is packed solid by the end of june. but it is something everyone should see at least once in their youth and maybe it'll click with ya and you'll visit often over the years! it's been a yearly event since 1972 and always in a different national forest...
