Will switching my lighting hurt my plants?

In order to keep my plants cool I was planning on switching my plants to get the light at night, so heres my question. My plants are on from 9am till 9pm(12/12), and I want to switch them to 9pm to 9am so they get light during the cooler time, will it affect the plants if I have the light off till the time I want to start the new light cycle? it is 12:10 pm right now. They've had 3 hrs of light so far today. I am only 7 days into flowering. I just hope they are female since this crop is from bagseed.

    Thanks!!

no switching one time is ok just let them be in dark for 24 hours then turn the light on at night and set for 12 hours, if you do this often you can stress the plant and turn it hermi

I preety sure that the day times don't matter, the important thing is keeping the 12 of darkness.

I WOULD NOT recomend going dark for 24 hours. Some people use 21:36 hours of light with 12 hours of darkness. That formula will give you 5 daylight times in one week (7days).

You can adjust the daylight all you want; more or less. Just don't break the 12H darkness.

AS LONG AS YOU GIVE EM MORE DARK RIGHT NOW, THEN START YOUR LIGHTS ON TIME WHEN IT BECOMES THE NEW LIGHTS ON TIME,, YOU'LL BE FINE.

AN EXTRA DARK PERIOD WHILE YOU DO THIS IS BETTER THAN AN EXTRA LIGHT PERIOD.

Look an extra cycle of dark will not harm the plants one little bit...period end of story. Even if they are in flower no harm no problems.

It takes a minimum of 3 day's for plants to react to any change in light cycle of a normal grow and more like 5-7 days for the plant to react and produce negative results.

Just want to keep the record straight.

Thanks guys. Plants are uprooted cause they were males, so its time to start again. I will ony veg for a shorter amount of time next round though. That if they are males, I'll know sooner. Wish I could go hydro and clone right now, but in due time.
