[QUOTE=st0n3r]so i would like to know can you put a tiny speck of thc into a crystal grow kit? would it evolve into a much bigger crystal?

QUOTE]

Those crystal growing kits work on the principle that if you have a saturated solution, and you put a solid of the same material in it, the dissolved material will go to a solid state starting right at the stuff that was already solid. On the molecular level, the molecules will arrange themselves according to their polarity in a regular matrix.

For example, to make rock candy (crystallized sugar), you start with a piece of string dipped in sugar water and allowed to dry out so it has tiny sugar crystals clinging to it. Then you place it in a container of saturated sugar solution. The sugar then comes out of solution and voila, you have beautiful sugar crystals ready for snacking.

Even if what you are suggesting were possible, if you had a piece of pure crystalline THC (good luck getting your hands on it! It would be astronomically expensive even if you could find it!) you would have to place it in a solution saturated with THC... see what I'm getting at?

Sorry, I'm a chemist.

A THC question ok me and my friends have been thinking about this for awhile, now thc is most commonly known as a crystal right? so i would like to know can you put a tiny speck of thc into a crystal grow kit? would it evolve into a much bigger crystal? if somebody knows a heck of alot about thc, how it grows and its structure, then i may have to look into it more thanks.
