How big is your pot? Anything less than 2 gallons is probably going to hurt your yield. For every bit of mass above the ground, there is generally an equal mass of roots below the ground, so if you allow your root mass to grow large, the part you're really interested in also grows larger. If your pots are 2 gallons or more, I'd just let it run this time though. If they are less than that, I'd seriously consider transplanting to a larger pot. Either way, you know what to do next time so far as pot-size is concerned.
