i am desperate, and need to know how i can keep my plants from growing into monters. I need them to be at the most 18" when theyre done flowering. is that possible? its only because im very limited on space.
Any help is needed...

Sure it's possible, im not the best person to advise you but guessing you would have to have a shop around and find a low growing strain first of all (lowryder?) and maybe top it early on.

Lowryder is a small strain, but there are many ways to keep the plant small.

1: Get a small strain.
2: Flower the plant as soon as it is phyically ready.
3: There's been speculation that giving the plants with alcohol in the water stunts growth.
4: Dont grow.
5: LST [Read up on it if you dont already know]

hey dude,
my W Widows are no more than 18inches tall and to keep them short and bushy i just tied the main stem down at an angle. Its so easy to do and doesnt stress the plant like topping. These pics are after about 23 days 12/12 and as u can see they are looking fine. Oh its called LST (low stress tying) and if u search these message boards for 'lst' ur bound to find something of use but it aint brain surgery.

greenmonster, you tied to tops down next to the pot? isn;t that too low causing the main cola to not get enough light?
I feel like even tho i do LST, if the plant is gonna grow big, its gonna be big whether its tied down or not...
I dont know what to do i just cant have a huge green monster in my desk...
What if i put a screen over the plant fairly soon (theyre still on day 6 veg)? wont it grow out to the sides everywhere?

Well what i think you should do is tie them down for awhile to expose the lower branches to light and after a week or so untie it and re-tie a different part. LST do a search.

yeah they are tied down- i did this when i knew they were girls and they are tied around the main stem so it bends over. the main colas r still closer to the light (tallest part of plant) than the secondries. basically it means u will get a bushier plant and probably more grass for ur space than if u grow them straight up. probably.

Here is a purple Cream that I have been LSTing.
It is a very tiny plant.
So I'm trying to figure out how to get a big yield out of it.
I think I figured it out.
This is just in veg still.

By the way. I didn't top that plant.
It was a clone that just grew like that.
Like 2 perfect plants. So I pulled each one down in the opposite direction.

im not sure, but couldnt you just clone them when they get too big. if you dont have room for clones try to sell them to your friends or something. im not sure though cause ive never grown indoors.
