yea i just pull it real slowly so it wont suck through. normally the whole bowl is cherryed and has been for a few seconds before it sucks through.

i just tryed the twist tie after burning the shit off, and i cant get it to stay. i wrapped it around the small part of a no2 pencil, and it would fit and not fall down, but once id knock out the ash the twist tie would come out. any idears?

get alot of twist ties and have 'em ready to just put in the bowl before loading it. lol...

i have the same problem with my bong bowl when i clean it, for the first few bowls i just put a little nug plug, or a peice of leaf off a bud over the hole, then it gets rezzed up pretty quick and then the hole is a smaller

I'd rather mesh together wires from twist ties than drink unfiltered water :thumbsup:

that will definately give off harmfull fumes. I'm not sure if on froma faucet will but drinking water is passed through it so its a better bet. I remember seeing screens when i was little that came with matchbooks. they were round and copper colored. I can't seem to find any now.

Screens are behind the counter at the headshop. Sometimes you can find them in the "matchbook" form at a tobacco shop.

Get some real screens. Don't use one from a faucet. yuck.

i finally got a screen, how long do you go before throwing yours away? mine is black now for the most part, and is getting clogged a little. i only have one though and dont want to toss it since the closest headshop is in baltimore
