Hi Lady... first off..
any body that recommends throwing a plant away that is not male or hermie is a ... is a... ... is a....
You did the right thing keeping your plants...
I cna not see your pictures so I am not sure exactly what your problem is.. BUT...
Your babies should be in a 1-3 gallon pot witha a soil/perlite mixture 80/20... a young plant will find adequate nutrients it needs in any quality soil...
It is also very important that you purchase a ph tester and monitor/adjust your ph of your water...
If the ph of your water is not between 6.0 an 7.0 (6.8 being ideal) your lpants willnot beable to access the food (nutrients) in the soil.. You can purchase a PH tester for $5-$10...
