Indoor Grow Space yield ?'s INput please.

Im thinking about buying a hydrohut 52" X 52" X 7'

With 12 inch pots I can fit up to 16 plants inside. Quite crammed for sure.(maybe with less, but larger plants the yeilds will be better....this is all up for speculation, of course.)

I would like to utilize all the good shit; advanced nutrients, 1k of HPS with a possible 400 watt MH to mix up the spectrum. intake/exhaust. all the givens.

I wanted to get some advice. Would it be possible to get the same Gram/Watt ratio in this smaller size cab rather than using a larger 8X4 grow chamber? I'm aiming for at least 1000 grams(1k light).

I figure that maybe I might have to invest more into the Ventilation portion of this project, or just dish out the extra 200 bucks for the 8X4X7 massive grow hut. any input would be mucho appreciated. peace all.

to get a gram a watt...you need co2 and environmental controllers and such. The more you cram in the room, the more yield will be effected by the fact that you are going to have medioce light penetration. you need 18" to 24" on center for enough space to allow them to flower efficiently, so keep that in mind.

No-one can tell you for sure, what yield to expect, due to different strains, methods, nutrient regimen, and grower error...

Im with latewood on the 18-24 inch thing.

My room is 2x4 foot. I had 6 plants in there. and it was really crammed. 3 turned out to be males. and Now the females actually have room to breath :}

a gram a watt is very very possible... but go easy on yourself... you are putting a very big expectation on your grow... MOST people do not get those kind of results..

If you only give each plant 1 square foot, your yield will not be huge on a per plant basis. I'd use 4 plants in that hydrohut and ScroG them, which provides a nice 2'x2' area for each plant that way, as well as highly efficient use of your lumens (because the buds will all be at or near the same height). This is also nice if you are in the U.S. and your state prosecutes based on the number of plants, should you ever get busted.

Ive heard of people getting those mystical yields of 2-3 pounds with 1-2K on just one or 2 plants. that really seems impossible, but hey, nothing is impossible. The real question is, Should I go overboard with the ventilation whilst using probably 1000-1400(tell me what you think about using the additonal MH) watts in a enclosure that small? Cool tubes, and all that good stuff. I'm thinking about getting something like papaya, or NL, you know something that is really just one cola per plant due to space restrictions.

Just for good measure I plan on using only clones to make sure everything is uniform.

Another arguement is Sog with smaller plants vs Less numbers, bigger plants. Ive heard there is pretty much no difference. What are your thoughts on this, knowm?
