    Wireless Internet Access Point

Ok so my neighboor caught on that i was hijacking his connection and moved his router, atleast this is what im assuming. My question is:

If I buy an access point do I have to configure it to work with his router or will it just relay the connection automatically??

I know its not honest but fuck it...

Iā??m not a hugely technical person or anything but he probably just secured his wireless network (password protected type thing.) I have a router and thatā??s what I did even though I donā??t have any neighbors close enough to use it.

As for answering your question I donā??t know. I would assume you would have to configure it. I even had to fucking configure my browser to work with it. Which I screwed up some how and I have to do again. Good thing linksys has kick ass customer support. If you go to their site I bet you can find the answer your looking for they have tons of free online info on the subject

    linksys.com

    Good luck

Well, ummm, I also "borrow" my neighbor's cable connection, so this got me thinking.

How can they tell if someone's hijacking their connection?

Not that I'm wondering or anything, just curious..

I know its still up because i can access it from my kitchen but not from my living room anymore. Im pretty sure they knew something was up because i was downloading torrents at night and I forgot to set it to shut off by morning because anyone would notice a 100kbs drain.

Last person I used to hijack from password blocked their connection, which was smart because I had access to their network folders and they had personal information in them for some reason.

Thanks for your input you guys....
