 Yes you can veg outside and bring them in. You can use any light for veg. You can also veg inside then take them out.
 
 In a space that size I would think 2 600 watters or 1 1000 watt should be good.

Anyways I know im still kinda sketchy on doing this in my home but I dont think it would be too suspicious in the area im growing them in.  New indoor growerHey, I read a thread on here awhile ago where a guy knew the part number for a 400w hps system that you could get on home depot, I'm trying to find this cause the guys i was going to order from is currently back stocked and I dont want to chance waiting.

 yeah most lights ya will be able to veg with (but not incandesant bulbs) they only make a plant stretch a lot
 
 What I meant was: You can use any light for veg. Of course HID is best, but any light will make your plant survive and grow. The important thing is the flowering period. You don't even need ANY light for veg. You can gow straight from clone to flower.
