Yeah, but the bluetooth radios on those phones most likely don't support Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, which means your looking at a maximum transmission speed of around 40 k/s, which would be too slow to transfer any meaningful amount of music conveniently, not to mention that phones have had IR receivers for years and they never really caught on for transferring files between handsets because they just weren't convenient as well. Even now the primary use for bluetooth isn't for transferring files, but rather as a wireless device hookup (headsets). Verizon even disables file transfer on many of their bluetooth handsets.

As for my personal reasons for using an ipod, I use it because I have 31GB of music that I like to keep with me at all times. That combined with apple lossless support, album art support, and, most importantly, itunes integration, makes it the most convenient choice around. (and I use a mac, which makes everything really convenient)

I'm not trying to say that the ipod and apple in general is flawless, but rather that there just isn't a better alternative that really stands out.
