I-DONT (I-POD HATER)If you're going to compare "sound quality", a cassette tape, recorded on a good deck from a vinyl record or CD, played on a cassette walkman player, has better sound than IPODs, MP3, or even many CD's played on portable CD players. Cassettes are not as convenient - which is about the only thing that IPODS, etc., have that makes them preferable as a portable music reproduction medium.

There are ways to improve the sound of IPODS, but it involves sacrificing disc space.

I-DONT (I-POD HATER)I had the choice between a Dell MP3 player and an I-Pod...I chose Dell over I-Pod for personal reasons. Both are pretty much the same, except at the time, I-Pod wanted big monmey for cheap plastic, while the Dell is in a nice metal case.

It's 5GB and it's about halfway full, around 750 songs. It's not wanting to listen to EVERY song as fast as possible, but it gives me a variety. If I want this or that, then I'll have it, and if a playlist sits on there for months without listening, then it makes it that much better when you do listen to it.

Plus, you can remove and add shit like nothing. If I never listen to it, then I'll take it off. If I want it again, I'll just dowload it again and put it back on.

Sounds to me like you're jealous. I know if someone handed you a 30GB player, you wouldn't refuse.

I'd take 20,000 worth of song space on a little player than have 1000 CD's to look through.

I-DONT (I-POD HATER)Lol, well technically, a mod decides when it's over by locking it, so does anyone really have the power to say it's over?

But I have to agree every opinion out there has been stated three times over on the subject. But what cha gonna do, eh?
