I'm still not arguing, but what you said right here, about conveniance being a good thing, goes against when people say "Why do you need all that music? It's not like your going to listen to all 300 records on the bus ride."

the iPod was a good idea in its birth but has become what i just mentioned. i'd like an ipod but i refuse to succumb to trend. besides, i dont eve need one, i find enough satisfaction out of a tangible c.d. and my headphones. i dont need video or mp3s radio in my car.

How is an iPod a trend, I bought my iPod solely because I thoroughly enjoy listening to music constantly. I would much rather just listen to music than have conversations with people, which is why I bought mine.

AND people would be saying the exact same thing about other MP3 players, if other MP3 players sold as well as the iPod. People buy them because they're easy to use, small, nice looking, good sounding, and extremely well put together.
