You should catch him and befriend him. Lizards are cool. Here's a pic of mine. Diego the Bearded Dragon. I had an iquana named Henry years ago but my roommate's Golden Retriever killed it.

When I lived in Florida we used to have lizards in the house all the time. They were those little, color changing, anoles a lot of people call chameleons. They ate roaches and other bugs so we didn't really care. A lot of people considered them pests though. Now, I always laugh when I see them in the pet stores out here.
