Final Flush
When using plain water for a final flush must the ph level be lowered since plain water has a ph of 7? or does it not matter?

Yes you need to bring it down for hydro. 5.2 to 6.0. Since that is what the plants are used to seems like that is what they would be giving off toxic salts too. Nute lockout and nute lockin.

you are still growing/flowering the plant. the difference is that instead of providing nutes to the plant, you are forcing it to use up all available nutrients stored inside...thus improving the taste by removing all the excess salts.
so, Yes you always have to keep your ph consistent.
