Another Animal Deterant
According to researchers at the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, the most effective off-the-shelf products are those containing the smell of rotten eggs; in the tests, damage done to hostas treated with rotten-egg-type products measured only 2 percent compared to more than 70 percent when hostas were treated with other products. The smell of rotten eggs in the landscape is not a pleasant thought, but I guess it beats having all your plants ravaged by deer.
1) "Deer Off"(which actually contains the rotten eggs, plus Capsaicin's and Garlic), and works great alone. And...
#2) "BOBBEX"(which contains Dried Blood, Garlic Oil and everal other things like: Cloves, Fish oil's, Onions, and a few other things). This one also works great alone, plus it fertilizes with an NPK of .48-.37-.10, so it's a great organic supplement food source during the vegatative stages of growth.
What i do is to use a combination of the 2. I don't really ever have any problems w/ deer. My biggest problem insect are slug's and snails usually in the spring/early summer. So i would totally recommend these products for Deer prevention. FYI.
