Plainly, marijuana can make you feel better. No matter if you're sick, or if you're just a bit heated because you had a shitty day, you should be able to smoke a joint if you want to. Scientific studies show next to no negative effects from it, and rather it be intended for medicinal use or not, it should be accepted as a recreational substance. In the mornings, a few times a week I throw up stomach acid, and feel like complete shit.
