That'd be your call.Gotta know what amount your giving it at any given time.I do this for a water test.To see if'n it may need water.pickupdapot.Not in Webster's yet but it is a word! If it's heavy after skiping a day then you have a plan.

the biggest factor regarding watering is the medium in which you are growing in... if the medium is hydroton rocks, you will probably always have your dripper ON...

If your medium is rockwool.. then you probably will not have the dripper on all the time...

It is important that the roots do not get drowned in water... they need O2.... many gorwers over water their plants and basicaly love them to death,,

umm.. yes... if yuo are using lava rocks.. like the hydroton clay rocks...

You can leave the drippers on 24/7... all though It is always good to have some down time.. depends on the heat in your room...

the roots should never GO DRY... the lava rocks hold ZERO moisture and thus it is nearly impossible to over water...
