I pulled up search engines, that perform searches for the same BUT ALSO, reverse email, reverse Ip address, and reverse instant messenger searches. Yahoo makes a lot of information avail. These are remarkable. I used it on myself.... disturbing how much came up. Search a user name, and pull up the locations anywhere its posted or used on the net. You folks with instant messenger and the others, look closely at your stored personal data.

Read further in their text. It is pointed out that the browsers save a copy of the entire Internet at intervals. personal names, user names, something Displayed, Text IT ALL SAVES. Frozen in time. A picture can be cut and pasted, these things know where else they can find it and what the source was.
So many things can impugn personal security.

Many of you are more knowledgeable than I, certainly. I am new to this area. quite obviously, my personal concern here is minimized, since, my involvement in these aspects will be nominal. However,... well, bottom line, I don't trust Yahoo for 1, and 2 - the technology here is highly sophisticated.

An email recipient reported back that I had some kind of virus. I updated and ran my best spy ware program. Did the same with my virus detector, of coarse, from Microsoft. absolutely clean (reportedly). Well, ignorant, i listed my yahoo addess in my personal data, on my profile. only to find out now that, tho I removed all personal ID from my email add. prior. it is stored in these internet snapshots.

What about something like snoop-blocker (anonymous web surfing)?

Winantivirus is not, they advertise but they aren't legit.
