I recently got realllyyy into classic tock ( i LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL kinds of music).. some of my fave classic rock is:

the doors
the lovin spoonful/john sebastian

and a shit load of others.. i'm sure my list will grow since i recently have gotten more into it and don't know a lot of pink floyd, zepellin, etc yet.. but i'm sure im gonna love all that too bc i can get into any kind of music pretty much

G-n-R and Metallica is now considered classic rock? Say it isn't so.

As for REAL classic rock, I'd say Steve Miller Band, Aerosmith (old stuff), the Doors, etc. Really, for a great sample, Dazed and Confused has a plethora of awesome classic rock.
