    Can this be done?

am i able to put my buds in a brown paper bag for drying instead of hanging them upside down? I mean i don't really have the place to hang them and they stink like all hell. after a week or so i'll take them out and put them in a mason jar for curing. Is this ok or will they not dry properly?

ive never had to cure my own harvest... but when i buy really fresh and dank bud, ususally i just leave it out on my desk over night... maybe even half way into the next day. then when its nice and dry i throw it into a jar and after about a day itll turn soft while still remaining dry.

It wont mold it, yes you can, just make sure the buds arnt touching. I know a few people who do this paper bag mthod, prsonally i hang upside down for 7 -10 days, then into the jars.

Well this is my 500 mark in posts, but thanks guys, i mean i take ti out and open the bag once in a while but i want to make sure that they won't mold and that they'll actually dry out, i'll prop leave them in there for another few days then i'll take them out and put them in a mason jar to finish.

    Thanks Guys

    hi green... : )

brown bag is fine... like lip said... but it also depends on how tight and how many nugs are in the bag... if you dump them out every day for a few minutes and then put them back... they should be fine... I have seen many people use this method..

    cheers...

I use some metal window screen attached to the top a tray, throw the buds on it and takes 5 days to dry enough to put into jars, just gotta turn them every once in awhile, but no hanging.

yah well they're not that big i mean they look like they are about 6-8" but some of that is stem too so idk, the one is nice and can't wait to smoke it but the other is a little less umm appealing you might say, the oldest one has tricomes over is all the way and the other only has some. Well i'll give them a try soon, too bad i couldn't ;et them go longer

    Thanks

Thing that always works for me is plain old trimming, then hanging them from a line in a room. Keep them spaced out just enough to the buds dont touch each other, and put a osscilating fan blowing the air around. The best way to dry is slowly, allowing the most chlorophyl(harshness) to dissipate.

Should take about 4 days for the stems to be brittle and snap. At that point they are safe enough to cure. Cut down the branches, and cut the buds off the stems. Simple ols Mason Jars are the best(Plastic bad) just make sure you "burp" the container daily to allow the built up moisture to escape. Once the humidity of the buds is below 25%, you can be sure that mold wont grow.

At that point you can keep them sealed, or allow more moisture to escape depending on how dry you want your buds. Dense nugs will take many "burpings" while airy buds are done coming off the line.

Things to keep in mind for a happy harvest are: lowering moisture so mold cant grow, keeping them in a dark cool place(heat and light destroys crystals) and keeping them away from oxygen. When you fill a mason jar, try to fill it to the very top without pushing buds in at all, leaving as little oxygen in the jar as possible. Buds will last years like this, and get tastier with each passing day. Some strains will take a week, some will take a month before buds are smooth and tasty.

    Hope this helps.
