u need ATLEAST 18 hours of light till the plant has gone into vegatative state, after a week of that, if there is really nice growth, i geuss u could go to llike 16, then next week 14, then 12 but 12 off the start is just stupid.

and if u force, flower them to immature, they will hermie =bad lol

Actually, that's untrue. YES, you can give the plants 12/12 from the begining and as soon as they can flower, they will. And dont think you'll end up with a tiny plant. You wont. Obviously its better with a veg stage, but it WONT stress the plant. There was a thread about this a while ago, and some pics were posted and it looked very nice.

No offense to LIP, but anybody can talk.

That doesn't mean the talk means anything, but they can still talk.

Just something to keep in mind.

sure are a lot of uninformed answers so far ... if you start with 12 hours, you will not stress the plant .. you will just have very slow growth, and you need some maturity before going into the flower cycle, if you want any sort of results ... bottom line: growing takes time ... :smokin:

I concur with lip and reaper

the plant will still grow and it won't flower right away... it will still invest time and energy into growing into a mature plant before it flowers...

try to give it at least 1 week of 18+ hours of light

think of it like this.. just because you mate, doesn't mean you will produce babies... humans need to be old/mature enough to produce sperm and eggs...

there is a thread in this section that I started that shows a plant that is flowered at 15days with only 4 nodes....

    Get some clones.
Some people repeat what they have read. Alot of posts does not mean informed answers.

well you dont think 12/12 from the start will be enough to get like 40 seeds?
