Try this first:

you need to run your defragmenter...Start>programs>Accesories>System Tools>defragmenter.

nope, lol well other then your ram, but it's highly unlikely that's the problem, if all else fails and you got the money, never hurts to try, but like i said it's highly unlikely that's the problem, just out of curiousity, what kind of computer do you have and how old is it?

Well I must admit,I only have 512k ram and and my computer is a custom tower from a computer shop,about 3 years old..I think. It has a gigabyte motherboard,capable of runnin up to an amd athlon 3600xp and 3 gigs of ram,I do plan on addin at least one more gig of ram,if not more,pretty soon. I reckon that I'll check and see if the disk needs defraggin and git back to ya.

Hey bro..I had that problem...1st spybot is a piece of crap...I had that and AVG antivirus, and Adaware-se...they all got there Butt kicked by a Trojan; I picked up at bearshare...I bought Spybouncer...It removed the trojan, and unlocked my system...as far as firefox..I tried that to...regardless of what they tell you...It is not totally compatible with explorer. (this may be your biggest problem)

recommendations:
uninstall firefox, and any other free spyware...go back to explorer. get ccleaner(after you finish uninstalling); As suggested above...this is a wipe tool that deletes temp files and cookies and cleans all the "crap" off your harddrive.

you need to run your defragmenter...Start>programs>Accesories>System Tools>defragmenter. this built in tool will realine all your little memory bits...and if you put it on you task scheduler, It can run everyday or whatever schedule you plan for it.
(make sure you run it when you are sleeping, because it slows your computer way down, when it is running)

I hope this helps. I had the same problems, and this is how I fixed...Also, before defragging...Uninstall spybot and any other free antivirus programs.

If this does not help...then you need to Use windows recovery disk, and reboot your hard drive. Make sure to back up any files you don't want to lose, but recovery only, leaves your mp3, and shortcuts and such...but you have to reregister with your same username and re-install some of your stuff, like internet explorer, and such.

This is good, because sometimes you are actually upgrading. Damn, One more thing...this helped me as far as pop-ups...I installed a google toolbar, and I have to OK pop-ups, or I don't get any.

Those are some interesting ideas that ya have and I realize that I need to actually buy the software and git a bonafide result..I'll be able to do that pretty soon. I'm seriously thinkin of building a new computer myself or with a little help..lol.

So what I'd like to ask ya,and anyone else who can pitch in their 2 cents,what motherboard do ya reccomend for an amd cpu and *.* chipset ? I'll be building it for mostly gaming purposes and out-putting pics on photo-paper.

^^^^ incase no one is able to answer your question here, they can help you out greatly on what you need, all you gotta do is give 'em a budget and what you plan to use the computer for and they can tell you what's best for your situation, and 512k is pretty low, now instead of thinking it's highly unlikely that, i'm going to say it's a pretty good chance it is the ram, like i said 512k is really small, lol i have 512 MB in mine.

howdy,,so call me crazy,,or what do you think,,i have one now instead of 7,,i tied down one (hooked),,now in a few days,weeks?..this one im hoping to be just like there were 7 there,,im not being stupid,greedy,just inquisative,,,,,,i am almost posative i will get this one to grow huge now that i gave it more room to grow,,,and fill up area as if all 7 were back there,,what ya think torog anyone with comments on why i did this,feel free to comment,,,i mean i had seven doing great,,but greed can sometimes be a no go,not as huge or powerfull buds ,, more to last me,,better light,,,,

Daggum...them veggies are comin right along ! As for that there mail lady,she sure does have manly hands..lol. Even so,I can see where ya'd be looking forward to the goodies,that the mail brings..lol.:thumbsup:

Thanx for the pics..I'm kinda jealous,as I want a veggie garden of my own,too..lol. I may have that chance soon,as my daughter wants to start up a veggie garden,she even wants to grow endive in it,and if she could,some jicama,which is like potatoes but better for ya..she likes to make hash-browns out of em. Of course,she's gonna grow some tomatoes too and some kind of squash. So I may be asking ya for some tips soon,on growin some veggies..lol.

Wow..so yer sayin that you ain't growin in the greenhouse now ? Taking care of one,is less work than 7,no doubt,plus,growin in full-light will result in a bigger yield,with more potent flowers..so I say "Go for it man !"

I hear ya about greed,it rarely pays off positively and often results in regret. Whatever you do,in regards to yer garden..I support. Now I want to see how this turns out :thumbsup: It's good to try new things every so often and change how ya do things.

Yup..no doubt,512k mb ram,is small and that's one of the first things that I'm gonna upgrade,if i just keep what I have and upgrade the cpu and video card.
