Purple Leaves

I got these plants and at the top of the plant all the leaves are turning purplish, and the buds are about fingertip size, whats a good size for the buds to be picked. or how can you tell when there finished

Leaves turing purple isnt always a bad thing do you know what strain your plant is. No matter what plant you are growing the buds sound too small. Its time to harvest when most of the pistils have changed color to red or purple or whatever they are supposed to be.

i dont know what strain it is but when the buds are that small do they still have more time to grow?, and by pistils you mean crystals on the leaves right

pistils are the "hairs".
size of the buds have nothing to do with ripeness.

you need to get acquainted with the terminology, at least. not knowing what you're asking about will not get you a useful answer...
