Does this stunt growth or limit yield?

Hey guys, its been hot in my cab lately. 91
Plants arent burned or anything, but they dry out really fast. some tips are about 2 inches from my 400w hps. they dont seem to mind.
    Im watering each day now.

Somedays when i get home, there all limpy due to lack of water. I water them and they perk back up 100 percent in like 20 mins.

    2 inches from a HPS?

Unless your venting move the HPS up now, cos it will start to burn. IM surprised they aint sizzled yet.

Temps like that are ok, maybe make the plants point up, or droop.

    Best temps are 75 - 80 F

It just stresses them. Could make hermies. You got to get your temps down. It may slow them down.

bob whats up, just like lip said raise your light up, and if you dont have any more room to raise the light, you can start bending your plants. get a fan and try and blow that heat out of the grow area. give your plants superthrive to help with the stress. get those temps down, 85 should be your max. or better yet have your lights come on at night. a lot cooler at night, off during the day. switching will not hurt your plants now.

Plus electricity is cheaper at night.
The heat wil make your plants hermie.
Or it will slow the growth.

in some areas, like so-cal and big metro areas (big subsidized metro areas), yes power is cheaper at night, most other sub-urban areas have no difference. Cheaper power at night means they're ripping you off all day.

Thx guys. actually... They have been extreemly close to the HPS for a long time.
For some reason, they like it. They dont droop, or get burned. Kinda weird I guess. But since this is first grow. im not sure if mine are stunted without me knowing. There pretty tall so I dont know.

I keep saying im gonna tie em down. But I havent got around to it yet. Mabye ur right.... I might put the light on at night. I was scared to swith em though. thought it might hurt.

    QUESTION.
If I switch and put the light on at night... should I give them that xtra 12hrs light or dark?

p.s. click on pic. Thumbnail looks bad, but blown up looks good for some reason. weird. This pic should show how close they are.

you will have no problems, just have the lights come on at night, 1 x change wont hurt them. shit on my big bud grow , she grew past my light, didnt burn. like you said they loved all that light, that close. here is the pic iam talking about. 3 bud sites are in the back , you cant see , that grew past the light. also i had put a 125w red cfl in there at the time.
