hey bro. Ive seen ya around :} Ive also seen the video. very cool vid.

Im on my first grow now. So I can only give ya so much advice. But here goes. Oh btw. look in my sig for my first grow/log.

Anyhow... I used one bag of foxfarms oceam mix. for only 6, 2 gallon pots. Had a bit extra. but still. So I would say.. depending on ur pot size. I go with 3 bags or 2 on the conservative side.

I didnt mix anymore perlite or anything in. The foxfarms ocean mix has excelent dranage. almost too good imo. Im watering each day with my 2 gal pots.

Also. Id say 700 USD wont cut it. IMO. Once u start buying, u will see it adds up alot. for ur two part setup id say u can do it cheaply for a bit over a grand. and thats pushing it. I know others can do it cheaper prob, but I too thought it would be much cheaper. But then again, I tried to use all my cash to attempt to do it right, as not to be discouraged. CRAP hope im doing it right hehe

it seemed like everytime i went to buy/need something, it was 100 USD. and that adds up fast. ph tester,soil,lights, ballasts, mylar,lightining,ph up, ph down, reflective tape, poly, carbon filter, can fan, squirlcage, more reflective tape, wood or pvc, screws, hygrometer/thermomenter, batteries, more reflective tape, power strips, timers, bug spray, neem oil, twist ties for LST, cameras for pics, more batteries, more reflective tape :}

Im not at all trying to discourage anyone. But it adds up if u wanna do it right. But honestly... look at my grow log. read it. and look at my budget, I posted it. YOU CAN DO IT. thats my point, cause im on my way. 2 weeks into flowering. and if i can do it.. u can.

p.s. the setup looks good. think about smell controll and ventilation/heat. those will be ur two biggest enemies.
bob bobbinson Reviewed by bob bobbinson on . My grow plans, help needed* Hello everyone, some people might know who I am, usually quiet and roam these forums more than I post. I read a good deal of info from all the experts here who helped others and watched 4 different videos on how to grow, so I'm pretty ready. My budget on this grow set-up is around $600-700USD. Below is the set-up I'm striving to go for that was inspired by the "I Grow Chronic" video(recommended). I'm going for how he had it set-up except with the hydro part, going to use soil first round.
