t3, sorry iam back now. ok on the germ tray, you dont need to order the heated mat that comes with it. just get the dome and the tray, you can get a heating pad from any drug store. thats what i use. the reason i suggested the rapid rooter plug tray is that , when i germ my seeds with them, the plant will break through in about 3-4 days, amazing to the paper towel method. . 5in net cups are good  . ok on the 3 gallon pots, the plants can grow very well in these, no matter what type of plants you are growing. have you ever drove past a garden shop and see those tall trees in pots? most of them are in 3 gallon pots. . i would keep the seedling in the 5in until about 6 in tall then trans plant into 3 gallon pots. transplant 1 x to reduce the shock  . ok on the soil 1 bag filled up 4 of my 3 gallon pots. also get a bag of perlite and mix it in with the soil, extra wont hurt . so 3 bag will do the trick. ok on the mylar, go to lowes and pick up some reflective material, it comes in 2 and 4 ft rolls. this shit is good stuff, ask garden knowm. man the reflective material keeps the heat in and the cold out and vise versa  .
look in the phone book and see if you have a hydro shop near you, they will have the potting soil and nutes.

Hey mobay thanks for the response! Everytime I see your avatar I imagine dave chapelle saying "Mobay!" in the rick james voice, like when charlie murphay enters the china club. Anyways, I do I have a hydro shop by me(interior gardens...) and plan to get the rest of the stuff there, besides the dual-fans, 2 grounded timers, and temp./humidity reader which will be at lowes. Once again appreciate the replys!

EDIT: Went with your edvice Mobay and knocked off the germination station and now just have the tall dome and the rapid rooter tray in the cart.

ANOTHER EDIT: Sorry for more questions but would any heat mat work? I have one used to help with pain that has a low/med/high switch on it, would this work? Would I place this under the tray? Thanks again.
