311 is, indeed, a band. Their good stuff is like a fusion of reggae, rock and some rap. Hell, my dad likes them.

Having said that, they're having a concert on the 2nd? Where?? I don't know if I'll be able to go because of my friend's wedding, but I'd at least like to know when so I can try and get my ass to the concert.

Here's how old I am - back in '94, I remember going to see some new band called '311' at a little shithole club in downtown Jacksonville FL...
