    why?

well... a plant that is started from seed can not be forced to flower until it is "mature"... so they will just keep growing until they are mature enough to flower even under a 12/12 light regiment...

clones are different.. they can be flowered at 1 inch tall and they will only double to quatruple in size...

Kep those cfls as close as you can without touching the plant. And make sure you fix those light leaks before you flower.
Or you could end up with hermie.
    Good Job though, so far.

I started this summer's crop with 10 cfls at 2700K and started to flower at about 6 inches now they are about 2 feet tall even with the Lst. Strectchin like a bitch.
Not only light spectrum affects stretching. Night/day temp difference, watering, and specially, light intensity.

The most common error when growing with fluos or CFL are dont give enough importance to reflectors, wich are esential. And using too small watage bulbs and tubes, wich are less efficients and give less intensity.

    Good luck in your grow

Things are going quite well. Wont need much luck to pull this off. although this 400 watter could hurry up and get here. and then its on to the 1k.
