    I stepped on it :(

Well, I am planting 4 seeds outside. I planted 3 like 2 days ago and one seed was slow about germinating..It germinated today and I went outside to go plant it. Anxious to see my other plants to see how they were doing it was quite hard to find them. I thought they were gonna be bigger than I expected. I went outside and when I was looking for them I was like "wtf" and I was looking down. I lift up my foot and damn, I stepped on my young plant lol. It's about the size of a screw and I just wanted to know did I damage it? When I squated down to look at it, at first the stem looked bent but it wasnt. The stem is reddish and it almost looks like I didnt step on it at all but the fact is I did, so will it be ok?

Well, it's confirmed. Yesterday I guess it just looked like nothing was wrong but I went outside today after it just got done raining and my young plant has a crack in the bottom of the stem I think. The top part of the stem is limp and when I go to mess with the stem you can see the small opening where dirt and a water spot is at..it's June 8th now and I'm wondering should I just wait until next season or should I just go ahead and germinate another seed to take that plants place (if it doesnt make it). Because also one of the embryo leafs are half way gone but the other one is still fully there. It looks like the plant developed a little bit from yesterday but it's still obvious that it's a damage in the stem. What should I do?

leave it, it may come back (germing another seed can take time, but its up to you), 3 plants are better than none, just be carefull, you'll still learn a lot about growing; and there will still be a payoff.
