The stress that is introduced is very minimal and does not cause damage to the plant, or it's outcome. The cannabis plant is very very resilient. Yellow leaves no longer serve the plant any use.
When i cut my bottom branches i cut them at the begining of veg, and then again at the begining of the flowering stage, and then once more after about 3 weeeks into flowering, if needed. Since i grow inside i usually start flowering my plants when they are about14-18 inches high, doing around 25-38 plants at a time, depending. Everything i do i do from clone. No waste of time, light, soil, etc etc. I know what i am getting. No suprises with unwanted males/herms. No time/effort lost. Harvest wegiht, dried, is a little more than 2 lbs every 2.5 months.(time to buy bubble bags at this stage:thumbsup: )
When i encounter a pest problem(which is very rare due to keeping plants manicured, fan on, low heat), i go buy a dozen ladybugs. They will eat every pest in your grow room and leave no mess behind. I have used Neem Oil before but after discovering the wonders of predatory insects i am 100% pro-predator bug. Creating the outdoors indoors is the best way to go, IMO, of course. Wind, sun , food, all in the closet.
