petitions, how effective?
On this issue they will ignore any petition. The only way to make it stick is to force them to through voter referendum.
I was watching a show from the History channel showing a lot of people during the 70's trying petitions and whatnot to change our marijuana policies. If I'm not mistaken it also showed an interview with the founder of MPP as well. They were making the exact same arguements we are today and you know what? Here we are today with the same problem, still spinning our wheels. The only positive results have been through MPP, NORML and Safer taking it to the voters. Support them, don't waste effort reinventing the wheel.
It has to go to a referendum. Anything else is a breath wasted when it could have at least held smoke.
Peace.
