    not that this is your problem (but it may be) and purple stems can be strain related as others have noted above, but they can also be an indicator of a nitrogen deficiency. worth checking into anyway. i have noticed purple stems in white widow when a nitrogen difeciency was out of the realm of possibility...good luck.

    UUMMMMMMMMMMM............W-T-F........lol leaves turning kinda purple too i think its strain.................could have swore i ordered ''Big Bud'' (Maybe i was high).........ill have to look at last receit ....maybe that will tell me somthing....Oh the purple is starting in the veins of the leaf...and to your lower left the really darkish purpleish leaf ..take at look at that mofo...il tell yah the strain when i find my receit

    i once came across a purple leafed and bud cannabis plant, it was the first to flower out of all but was from the same batch of seeds i was given - but obviously must of bin mixed up seedz. and the leaves seemed to have this weird bend to them, like they'd have a arch from the middle and they'd bend inwards or outwards and you could even change it yourself by bendin the middle of da leaf. i neva knew what kind it was, but i came to a conclusion of either dutch passion or purple widow, god knowz.

    Muah this thread kinda old but ....Yeah the buds turned out purple as hell i did have pics but dont know what happend..But yeah was the most incrediable high iv had in 2 years ...Seem'd like you ate shrooms then smoked some weed ...It will kick you in the ass but its pretty good has nice vaniella flavor

    If you had a nitrogen deficiency, the stems would be a reddish color. The purple color is strain indicative not a nutrient indicator.
