    100w HPS?

If i was to be using a 100w HPS with flourescents as well, how far should the HPS be away from the plant to stop it cooking her? Also how many plants do you think 70watts, of flourescent light, would support.

    Cheers

i would use just the floros for seedlings. and both lights for vegging and flowering.
id keep the 70w hps about 10 inches away from the top of your plant.

i use a shop fitting floro, i think its about 80watts and i can keep 6 seedlings happy under it. you could benefit from a bit more wattage in the hps department though. it will work but you will have poor yields.........more light equals more buds.

i dont see the point using floresents unless its for cloning or early vegging. A better alternitive for floroesents are metal halide wich has a good frequency of blue for vegging. HPS are perfect for budding cus of its reds. Both MH and HPS release a good amount of lumens and are far more efficiant than floroesnts. use floroesents for cramped areas and if you dont wanna cook your plants.
