Cannabis medicine spray. Simply spray in your mouth and you're cured
See what I mean? Weed is a plant and therefore may have many medical discoveries like lots of plants out there. You can't just throw it out and say there's no medical benefits cause all it does is make you stoned out of your mind therefore proving to be a useless drug.

Yeah Pride, The Figment has you on that one. Yes I know people show up for work high. However, most of the people I've seen losing work was from legal drugs used badly. Especially Oxy and addicitve other ones. People have been showing up for work stoned since at least the 50's and our country hasn't come to a standstill. Oh, if you think you can take ANY painkiller and still function in a high risk environment then you're either dreaming or covered in stumps! High risk environments require a clear head or you've got trouble.
As for using it as a medicine I agree. However, since the government has know for over 30yrs that components of marijuana cure cancer then why have they not moved it from a Schedule 1 to a Schedule 2 drug so researchers can work on it and save lives? It's because of the specific and documented lobbying of drug companies. Again we are back to Washington being too corrupted with special interests to do what's right.
I agree with other things you say though, don't get me wrong. A question I have for your officer friend, or anyone for that matter, is if they feel so strongly about their moral position why won't they debate us? Open honest and unscripted? Our government has refused to do this all the way back to Fiorella LaGuardia. I challenge anyone to debate me on this issue, I will win.
If their position is so strong then let them stand on their own hind legs and test it in public.

I will even be more than happy to debate it in his station, with a audience of his fellow officers. I am that confident.

I've been debatin' this ANONYMOUS prick on this teens helpin' teens site and he keeps tryin' to point out things that ain't even there, like the '74 University of Spain/Medical College of Richmond,Virginia. He claims that the doctors warn about side effects and that it shouldn't be legal,I ask him where and he says YOU DUMBASS! Do your OWN research! He even tried that on the hemp sites I provided like http://www.suffolkhousing.org/pages/hempage.html or http://www.ecofibre.com.au/otherprods.html and http://hempmuseum.org He's worse than the LIBS who do nothin' but attack and spew lies and offer no proof at all!
